Cheer-O-Mania

We are very honored to be invited to do a opening performance for CHEER-O-MANIA 2012 that is held annually by the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) at United Square on 14 July 2012. We were recognized as a team with entertaining dance moves. We are the dancing bears :)

During the journey preparing for this performance, it wasn't easy but it was definitely fun training together. Injuries in the cheer world are actually pretty common, but we have to shake it off because we have to keep going.

Baby Bears are all very encouraging, cheering us on non stop. It makes running routine during practice so much enjoyable! Thank you baby bears.

On the very day of the performance, 16 men and our heroes (our spotters) arrived in school at 10am. Set the mats, quick warm up and start running routine. Things were going good until our dear Aaron had a bad landing, disallowing him to continue with the routine. We were one men down. Hence, we had to find a quick replacement for Aaron so that our performance can still go on. Guess who was our replacement. COACH FAI :)

How awesome is it to run a routine together with your own coach. Stressful but a wonderful experience! Together we ran our routine for one more time and its time to change into our uniform and leave for United Square.

When we reached the venue, we immediately felt butterflies in our stomach. Excited yet nervous at the same time. Crowd were cheering for us and ..

"LADIES LADIES LADIES LADIES.. "

The start of our routine, we absorbed all of the energy from the crowd and everything was out. It was an awesome performance. Everyone enjoyed it :)

Grizzlers & Blazers Exchange

Finally, Grizzlers & Blazers Xchange Program! It was a very short exchange program. The 5 hours seem just like 5 mins. We had such a wonderful time together!

We start of the day with an ice breaking game, and those who lost in the game had to do a forfeit for everyone and that is ..... the CHICKEN DANCE. Everyone look so cute!

After stretching, we moved on to stunts! Its amazing how fast everyone actually adapted to the environment and started doing what we are suppose to do.

Back to stunts and in no time at all, the exchange program is over. :( It was definitely a wonderful time with Blazers! See you guys soon :D

Bonding Camp 2012

Bonding camp 2012 was a SUCCESS! Thank you campers, coaches and the committee :) 3D2N with the bears is definitely not enough! Time really do fly when you're having fun :p

Day 1 of camp (10 June 2012) 
Everyone arrived in school at 10am and was gathered in the forum, getting ready for camp! The bears kicked start the day with the washing of the mats. It was a very sunny Sunday HAHA and it was the very right time to wash the mats. Everyone getting wet and having fun! :) We even spotted our very own sexy babe. :p

After washing of mats, bears washed up and head down to Changi Beach Park for a BBQ. It was fun bonding by the beach. Doing stunts, cheer and dance and oh ya eating BBQ food. heehee

Head back to school and washed up, dinner and played our traditional game "Werewolf" and had a very scary night walk where campers are given clue that lead them to flags. I guess it was a rather warm night and after the night walk we had supper and everyone was knocked out after the long day.

Day 2 of camp (11 June 2012)
Woke up freezing! The aircon was on. Another long and exciting day. Washed up and got ready for training. :) something different about the warm up is that we had dance and dancing as a warm up was awesome. Everyone was having fun and some even showcase their sexy dance move.

After training, we had water games. This is the time when most of us lost our voices. Being in the water in this hot weather felt awesome!  Had so much fun!

& the thing everyone was looking forward to. Our very first Prom Night :) We had the theme "Masquerade' everyone had their mask on and looking good. *winks The night was filled with so much dancing, laughter and singing. Grizzlers has a bunch of talented people.

Day 3 of camp (12 June 2012)
Last day of camp! :( Finally it was a cooler day! Had our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we would pass down the roles of the committee to the next batch. & knowing the jungle. First aid lesson was presented to us by our own bears. Puteri, Jane and Chi Yao. Thank you! :)

Seniors sang 2 songs for coach fai. "I won't give up" and "We are young" Coach was actually touched and he told us about how we are his dream and everything. It was a very emotional period of time. Thanks for not giving up on anyone of us. Bears lets do something that would make coach proud alright! We love you coach fai xx <3 so much! And of course we love you too coach Jay, although you're not here with us we did not forget you! We brought you everywhere with us during the camp HAHA! Before we have our training with LAS, we played a game of pull the tail! HAHA awesome time

After we had our training with Legacy! It was hell of fun! We had our own cheerleading version of captian's ball and we move on to stunts! There was so much to learn and it was awesome! I'm very sure all the bears would had learn one or two things from the phoenix :) Thank you Legacy, may god bless you with trophy and championships.
