The humble beginning.

GRIZZLERS started off as FUSION in 2010 when NYP decided to re form a cheer team for the school mainly for YOG.

the team prolly started off with a good number but sadly only 6 persevered.
the team was first coached by shane and justin of legacy all stars. the remaining 6 stayed on and put up a good show together with foreign bodies ( dance club nyp ) and fusion continued even after yog. shane and justin however had to leave as they had to serve the nation. the team was then taken over by jay and soon after fairul. both also from legacy all stars. started off with 6 members the team slowly grew to 8, and then 10. made up of 6 girls and 4 boys. the team underwent a tough time trying to piece up a routine for nyp open house as this was to determine if the squad should remain open or not.

thankfully, through all the trainings, the team manage to put up a simple yet good routine for the open house. and yes. the squad was kept open.

soon after came club crawl where the team was scouting for members. 60 people signed up! sadly only 30 turned up. but, not all stayed. as the numbers kept going down, coaches made it clear that if we want to keep the team running, we had to do whatever it takes. that means, recruiting. slowly, the team brought in more members. again, not many stayed. "only the strong will stay, and the weak will leave" says coaches. and here they are, till today still fighting and persevering.

coaches also announced that the team name, colour and logo will be changed as "FUSION" was not formed by them.

then came bonding camp which just passed last weekend. it was a whole load of fun. and the much anticipated reveal of the team name was finally revealed and so was the new committee.

today, GRIZZLERS is close to 30 members strong. the journey is getting tougher. always remember,
COACHES EVERYTHING IS NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR ALL!
so always give your BEST! NOTHING LESS.

yes we are new, we have a lot to learn and we have a long way to go. we will get there!
